You can chat with other people from around the globe, go into business designing face parts, buy a Scion (car), travel to other countries around the world on any day of the year using the warp wagon, and so much more!
At this site, you can also create a character, by using different face parts found at Akbar's Face Mall. Everbody's faces are unique on Whyville mostly because you have to buy each face part separately and arrange them on your face. Another reason why nobody looks the same is because everybody has their own taste in style, and usually like a certain style or color of hair, eyes, noses, mouths, etc.The money used to buy things on Whyville is called clams. From playing different games, you are able to earn clams and from certain games in your Salary Ledger to create a salary which you collect everyday you go on Whyville. Some examples of games that are fun are the Skater Game, Dance Creator, and Treasure Hunt.
Also, another currency is called Pearls, which you have to buy with real money. However, they have some benefits which clams do not have. With them, you can renew your face parts, and buy special things. You can get your mom or dad to set up a pearl allowance which will be sent to your account every month! Another great thing about this website is that not only is it SUPER fun, it is also educational, as you have to research and find the answers to some of the questions asked on the Treasure Hunt Safari, which was another of my favorite games when I was creating my salary. You have to figure things out, and I'm sure your parents will approve of this site as it is educational.
Whyville is made up of many whyville chatrooms where you can chat and play with your friends. Some chat rooms are airfield, beaches, sunroof, sunspot, getty, ice pond, snow board mountain, why house, bioplex and so so SO many more. Whyville has a great selection of games, these games are great learning tools also! When you play whyville games they increase your salary of
clams you get per day. So your working though your work is FUN!
The really great thing about Whyville that I have not seen at other websites is that if anyone is rude or not very nice, I can silence them, silence them permanently or 911 them. What do these terms mean? They are just terms which meant that any Whyville inhabitant can complain on any other inhabitant and they will be 'punished' for the bad words by taking away their privilege of chatting. I suppose the worse punishment for a kid is to made silent!
Another great safety feature that my parents like is that no one is allowed to chat until they have mailed or faxed in a permission slip. This seems to reduce the number of bad influences. Actually Whyville really likes to get parents involved and I managed to get 80 clams just telling my parents some Whyville facts. After they read it, they faxed in a certificate saying they had understood all I said and I was 80 clams richer!
Akbar's is a WONDERFUL place where citizens of whyville gets their clothing and face parts. I bet that there is over 4 thousand face parts out today!! If you don't get your face parts from Whyville then you defiantly get them from the trading post.
The trading post is another wonderful invention from the creators of whyville. In the trading post members trade other members for face parts. The trading post is excellent because if something is sold out at Akbar's then there is a 50% chance that someone in the trading post is willing to sell that exact item. But if you are taped or look like a newb or very sick nobody will trade with you.
Whypox is this disease on whyville. Me personally have not EVER had the whypox because I always get the vaccination, but my friends has. What i think about it is that it makes you look disgusting
